What does “Research Use Only” (RUO) mean?

Research Use Only means our products are intended exclusively for laboratory and scientific research purposes. They are not approved by Health Canada or any other regulatory authority for human or animal use, and they must not be consumed or administered to any person or animal. By purchasing from Clair Lab, you confirm you are a qualified researcher using these compounds in a controlled research setting.

Are your products safe for human use?

Our products have not been evaluated for safety or efficacy in humans and are not approved for human use. We make no claims about their safety or suitability for human consumption. They are research compounds only.

What is Janoshik and why does it matter?

Janoshik Analytical is an independent laboratory in the Czech Republic that specialises in peptide identity and purity testing using HPLC and mass spectrometry. It is widely considered the most credible third-party testing service in the research peptide space. Every Clair Lab product has a publicly accessible Janoshik COA linked directly on the product page and on our Lab Results page — no request form, no waiting.

What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

A COA is a document from an independent laboratory that confirms the identity and purity of a compound. Our Janoshik COAs verify that each product meets 99%+ purity standards. You can view all COAs on our Lab Results page.

Are your COAs batch-specific?

Our COAs are product-level tested, which is the standard practice for research peptide suppliers. Testing is conducted on the compound to confirm identity and purity. This is consistent with how the leading Canadian research peptide suppliers operate.

How should I store research peptides?

Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptide powders should be stored at −20°C, away from light and moisture. Once reconstituted, peptides should be refrigerated at 2–8°C and used within the timeframe appropriate for the specific compound. All storage recommendations are for research purposes only.

What is Bacteriostatic Water and do I need it?

Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol. It is used to reconstitute lyophilised peptide powders for research applications. If you are working with our lyophilised compounds, you will need BAC Water. We sell it as a standalone product.

Ordering & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Interac e-Transfer (primary) and cryptocurrency (secondary). Payment instructions are provided at checkout. Orders are processed once payment is confirmed.

How long does payment confirmation take?

Interac e-Transfer payments are typically confirmed within 1–2 business hours during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM EST). Cryptocurrency payments are confirmed after the required number of blockchain confirmations, which typically takes 30–60 minutes.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders can be cancelled before payment is confirmed. Once payment is received and the order is in processing, cancellation may not be possible. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.

Shipping

Where do you ship from?

All orders ship from Ontario, Canada. This means fast 1–2 business day delivery to most of Canada’s population, and eliminates any customs concerns for Canadian customers.

How fast will my order arrive?

We ship via Canada Post Xpresspost. Most Ontario addresses receive their order within 1 business day. Quebec and Atlantic Canada typically 1–2 days. Western Canada 2–3 days. See our full Shipping Policy for details.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Free shipping is automatically applied on all orders over $150 CAD. Our free shipping threshold is lower than most Canadian competitors.

Is my order shipped discreetly?

Yes. All orders are shipped in plain, unmarked packaging with no reference to Clair Lab on the exterior.

Do you ship internationally?

No. We currently ship within Canada only.
